We think and act sustainably – in terms of ecology as well as in our dealings with people. In doing so, we want to continuously improve and develop. That is why we also support organizations that pursue the same goals.
1% for the Planet
A little for the company, a lot for people and the environment: 1% for the Planet is a global movement. It brings responsible companies together with NGOs that are committed to the environment. With our membership, we commit to donating 1% of our revenue to a charitable organisation that is also a member of 1% for the Planet – for example, the Summit Foundation.
Summit Foundation
Litter does not belong in nature – yet it often ends up there. The Summit Foundation informs interested parties about littering, especially in mountain regions. With poster campaigns and the educational game “Mission Dahu”, the Swiss foundation raises awareness among the public, demonstrates concrete solutions and organises clean-up campaigns in nature with the Clean-Up Tour.
We support the Summit Foundation as part of the 1% for the Planet programme.
kickbag
No more tedious tamping down of cardboard boxes: whenever possible, we send our orders in kickbags – reusable shipping bags made from recycled PET that are produced in a climate-neutral way. Once you have received your order, simply fold up the kickbag, stick the returns label on it and drop it in the nearest letterbox. The kickbags will then find their way back to us and we can use them for the next order. This way, we help to avoid packaging waste – even after the second use, the kickbag is more environmentally friendly than cardboard or plastic.
Climate-neutral shipping by mail
We send our parcels climate-neutral with the Swiss Post. The compensation paid is used for national and international projects that work to reduce CO2 emissions.
