Textile care
How do I wash linen bed sheets?
We recommend washing at 30 – 40 °C, as this range effectively removes common stains like sweat and skin oils. For a more intensive clean, bed linen can also be washed at up to 60 °C without any issues. Our bed linen is pre-washed to prevent shrinkage, but we still advise lower temperatures, especially for the first few washes, to help maintain fabric quality. To protect the fibers and extend the life of the material, sort your laundry by color and use a mild, bleach-free detergent.
Can I tumble dry linen and hemp bed linen?
For the signature feel and to protect the fibres, it is best to air dry our linen or hemp bed linen. Avoid direct sunlight when drying to preserve the colours. Linen and hemp can always be tumble dried on a gentle cycle. This makes them softer, but the fibres wear out faster and the fabric may shrink slightly. We therefore recommend that you do not tumble dry linen or hemp bed linen after the first few washes, but rather air dry it.

How do I wash organic cotton bed linen?
We recommend washing at 30 – 40 °C, as this range effectively removes common stains like sweat and skin oils. For a more intensive clean, our organic cotton bed linen can also be washed at up to 60 °C or 95 °C without any issues. Sort the laundry by colour and use a mild detergent without bleach to protect the fibres and extend the life of the material. To protect the fibers and extend the life of the material, sort your laundry by color and use a mild, bleach-free detergent.
How can I extend the life of my bed linen?
Regardless of the material, we recommend washing your bed linen only as often as necessary and at lower temperatures to preserve its quality. For more stubborn stains, such as blood, or if you have been ill, washing at 60 °C is perfectly fine. Choose a mild detergent and do not use fabric softener, as this often contains additional surfactants, fragrances and preservatives – which mean a significant increase in waste water pollution. Fabric softener coats the fibres, making the fabric less breathable and allowing residues to build up. Air drying and avoiding direct sunlight will help extend the life of your home textiles.
