Made from leftovers to make you happy.
With their joint Out of Stock Edition, lavie and Création Baumann are making use of something that is often overlooked: leftover textiles, known as dead stock. For the limited Out of Stock Edition, we have selected fabrics from the Création Baumann archive – small quantities in special colours.
Here is Création Baumann, a traditional company renowned for its expertise in specialty curtain fabrics, and lavie, a young label dedicated to sustainable home textiles. We are united not only by our shared home in Langenthal but also by a common belief: that good design comes with responsibility.
For us, this collaboration is more than just a beautiful project. It perfectly reflects what we strive for every day – to create textiles that are both ecologically sound and aesthetically appealing.
Opaque or translucent – plain or two-tone
The Linaria, Linaria colour block and Gingerino curtains from the Out of Stock Edition measure 140 × 270 cm. The edges are carefully finished, with a coloured overlock seam framing the fabric. A sewn-in curtain tape ensures that they are ready for immediate use.
With a ready-made curtain, both the width and height are predefined. All you need for installation are suitable gliders or clips.
Linaria
Opaque version made from 91% linen and 9% polyamide.
Available in four colours: off-white, chalk, lavender and anthracite.
Linaria color block
Opaque version made from 91% linen and 9% polyamide.
Available in five colour combinations: light blue/red, pink/indigo, silver/yellow, lime/purple and off-white/sand.
Gingerino
Semi-transparent version made from 100% linen.
Available in three colours: light grey, taupe and multicolour.

Reaction to air humidity
Linen curtains adapt to their surroundings: high humidity makes them heavier and slightly longer, while dry air makes them shrink. The linen fabric used in the
Distinctive creased look
Linen is very strong but hardly stretchable. The low elasticity means that the material creases easily. This ensures the typical, natural look of our ready-made curtains.
Maintenance tips
- Wash ready-made curtains at 40 degrees.
- Washing drum only lightly loaded.
- Shake out the curtains a little after washing and hang them up to smooth out the creases.
- If needed, iron while slightly damp.
