Cotton takes centre stage
Bed linen, towels and bed spreads: our organic cotton products are as rich and varied as life itself. And just as colourful: orange, purple, green, greenish, light blue, mid-blue, dark blue, yellow, yellowish or even charcoal grey. The quietly beautiful designs are the perfect match for a cosy bedroom or a comfy couch. What all products have in common is that they are particularly easy to care for, durable and made to last. Sound like a good housemate? Definitely! As if that wasn’t enough, cotton is also extremely soft and skin-friendly, so any problems with allergies are highly unlikely. And if you sweat at any point, that’s also no problem: cotton is highly absorbent and breathable. It is easy to care for and durable, hygienic, skin-friendly and soft. And extremely light – so you can take your favourite blanket with you from the armchair to the balcony and back to the sofa without risking a sports injury.
However, we do not pick the most well-known textile fibre from the trees in our gardens, but source it from countries such as India, Kazakhstan or Tanzania. For most of our products, the cotton is processed in accordance with the GOTS standard. This certification ensures that important ecological and social standards are adhered to – from production to processing and trade.
And, of course, our cotton is 100% certified organic. This means that no pesticides are used in cultivation and no chemicals that are harmful to the environment and health are used in production. Farmers use traditional methods to combat pests, thereby protecting the environment and biodiversity, their own health and ultimately the health of consumers. Organic also means that no genetically modified plants are used. On the one hand, this preserves genetic diversity. On the other hand, farmers are not dependent on seed and pesticide manufacturers, as the seeds for further plants are simply obtained from existing ones.

The prewash gives it a soft feel and a unique casual look
We use cotton percale for our bed linen, i.e. a cotton fabric woven in plain weave. This is a densely woven, medium-weight and fine-threaded cotton fabric. In contrast to classic cotton sateen, the surface of the fabric is somewhat more uneven and matt and has less shine. The prewash finish gives the whole thing a soft feel and a unique casual look.
