The certification guarantees that the traded cotton comes from controlled organic cultivation on small farms in India and Tanzania. Farmers only use GMO-free seeds for cultivation. In addition to the ecological requirements, the certification also ensures ethical principles: the cotton trader – in our case Remei AG – favours participatory and direct cooperation with the local farmers. And ensures a certain continuity through a multi-year purchase commitment. As an additional incentive, our partner Remei offers an organic premium of 15% above the local market price. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
